PRESTONSBURG – Prestonsburg Healthcare hosted an appreciation breakfast for some of the city’s finest on Tuesday. Members of the Prestonsburg fire and police departments and city hall employees joined together for a moment of appreciation. As a part of Volunteer Appreciation Week, Prestonsburg Healthcare invited all of the churches and organizations that volunteer to attend. Cards and bags were also given out as a small token of appreciation.
“This is just one way that we could give back to the community and to those who assist us in a variety of ways,” said Prestonsburg Healthcare Chaplain Stephen Clark. “Our city’s civil servants do so much for us, as well as all of the churches that contribute on a weekly basis.”
Prestonsburg Health Care continues to do activities for residents that allow them to socialize and have a good quality of life. Activity Director Cindy Porter plans all the activities with the help of some other staff members. The center staff will take five residents to the Kentucky Horse Park on Thursday, April 21. Prestonsburg Healthcare is set to host its annual fishing tournament on May 7.
