PIKEVILLE – Big Sandy Community and Technical College’s (BSCTC) automotive technology students had a 100 percent pass rate on exit examinations by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

The test is a comprehensive, nationally recognized assessment tool, according to Joe Stewardson, professor of automotive technology.

“This validates the work of our students,” said Stewardson. “We are proud that our students have excelled in the classroom and will now take what they have learned and apply it in the workforce.”

Ten students took the exam on Thursday, April 14. They will participate in commencement ceremonies on May 6-7 at the Mountain Arts Center.
