PRATER – On Sunday, around 1:15 a.m., Floyd County Sheriff Deputies arrested Richard Brandon Mullins, age 31, of Harold, Kelsey Edward Bradley, age 35, of Allen, and Justin Kyle Bryant, and age 26 of Martin.
Deputies stopped a pick-up truck driving slow without lights in the Prater Creek area of Floyd County. Upon approaching the vehicle, deputies noticed a strong smell consistent with crystal meth or the chemicals used in the manufacturing of meth. The smell led deputies to conduct a search of the vehicle. The search resulted in the finding of pre-cursors needed for manufacturing meth such as lithium batteries, lye, Drano, filters and several other items. Deputies also discovered two one-step meth labs inside the vehicle along with a white crystal-like substance believed to be meth as well as a stolen tailgate.
Individuals were transported to the Floyd County Jail where they were booked and charged with manufacturing meth – first degree with additional charges forthcoming. The tailgate was returned to its owner.
