PRESTONSBURG – Floyd County Superintendent Henry Webb has announced that Cameron Dalton Goble has been selected for the Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts, an enhanced summer learning program in the arts for students.
“The board team and I congratulate Dalton on receiving this honor,” Webb commented. “Over 1,700 students applied and Dalton is one of only 255 who’ve been selected and invited to attend. He’ll student New Media for three weeks this summer and we’re excited to see what he learns in this program.”
New Media will include film and photography where students will learn technical skills as well as writing and completing their own films. Demonstrations from guest artists and field trips are also part of this program.
“Our kids are applying for amazing and competitive opportunities and being accepted, they’re competing at the state level in everything from music to robotics and excelling,” Webb added. “And we want to thank our parents and families for allowing us to serve our outstanding KIDS.”
