Davis earns top honor from Associated Press

Patrick Davis was recognized for earning a first-place award from the Associated Press over the weekend.


PRESTONSBURG – Floyd Countian Patrick Davis was awarded the Associated Press’ First-Place Award for Best Radio Feature Article – College Division on Saturday night.

The award was given at the Galt House in Louisville.

The broadcast was “Craft Beers in Kentucky” composed while Davis was a student employee of WMKY, National Public Radio of Morehead State University.

Davis is a former employee of Q95 Radio and now works as a substitute teacher and as a videographer/freelance reporter for Around Town, Inc. He is the son of Floyd and Nancy Davis of David.
