HAGER HILL – The bridge in Floyd County on Route 321 at the Floyd-Johnson County line closed Monday morning for repairs and will remain closed through Thursday, July 2, highway apartment officials reported Monday.
Brady Conn, Superintendent at Highway District 12’s Allen Maintenance, apologized for the temporary inconvenience.
“We want to get the work finished before school starts,” he explained. “We need to do this work while the weather seems to be cooperating.”
Conn said that signs are posted both in Floyd and Johnson counties to let motorists know that the bridge is closed to all traffic for the next couple of days.
Because of the nature of the repairs, Conn said, the bridge will be closed at night as well as during the day when work crews are on site.
