BANNER – The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department and a local homeowner are in need of community assistance in identifying an unknown male who allegedly stole several items.

On Saturday, around 8:30 p.m., the unknown male entered a residence located in Banner and requested to buy several items that were being stored on the carport of the residence from the homeowner. The homeowner agreed to sell the items to the man, whom stated he had to go to Emma to get the money to purchase the items.

Later that night at approximately 11:30 p.m. according to a video surveillance the man came back to the residence, with no intentions of paying for the items and backed a white GMC Sonoma up to the carport where he then unloaded a two-wheel dolly that he used to load two clothes dryer onto the truck along with a Husqvarna weed eater, a shop vac and two fuel canisters containing fuel.

Anyone with information on the stolen items or the man shown in the photos is asked to contact the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department at 886-6711.
