HCTC graduates honored at commencement

HAZARD – Hazard Community and Technical College honored a total of 515 students who received a total of 1,411 credentials. Associate in arts, associate in science, and associate in applied science degrees were awarded along with diplomas and certificates. Commencement was held Saturday, May 7 at Perry County Central High School in the John C. Combs Arena. The graduates from Floyd County were Emily Elizabeth Davis of Banner, Kelsey Nicole Jarrell of Prestonsburg, Shawn Douglas Porter of Allen, and Kelly Wayne Williams of Prestonsburg.

Additional in-state graduates hailed from Bell, Breathitt, Christian, Clay, Fayette, Hardin, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Laurel, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Nicholas, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Russell, Wayne, Wolfe and Woodford counties. The graduating class included additional individuals from Virginia, Colorado, Texas, Indiana, Tennessee, Maryland, New York and South Carolina.
