ALLEN – Dr. Henry Webb, Floyd County Schools Superintendent, has announced Rachel Crider as the new principal at Allen Elementary.
“Rachel has been a valuable team member in Floyd County Schools for many years and is moving from the role of assistant principal to that of principal,” Webb said. “As a classroom teacher, her students excelled and we are excited to see her utilize her knowledge of instruction to help guide our kids.”
Crider has been in education for 19 years and previously served as a classroom teacher, member of various district teams, an assistant principal and presented at state level conferences. She and her husband Ricky have two sons, Christian and Cameron.
Crider will greet students as the new Allen principal in early-August.
“The board team and I look forward to working with Rachel in this new capacity,” Webb added.
