Martin City Police and Martin City Fire Department give back to the community.


The City of Martin and and Martin City Tourism are organizing fun events for the community.


MARTIN – Mayor Samuel Howell, the City of Martin and Martin City Tourism are presenting an Independence Day Celebration area residents won’t want to miss.

On Friday night, Colby O’ Bryan will take the stage at 6 p.m. and rock the crowd until 8.

East Kentucky Inflatables will be available from 4-8 p.m. on Friday night. Parents can enjoy the concert and entertainment while their children jump and slide on the inflatables.

The Shriners Train will also be available Friday night.

On Saturday night, the excitement level will kick into overdrive as children can get their faces painted and receive an airbrush tattoos while their parents cruise in and show off their hot rods or just enjoy looking at everyone else’s rides. Inflatables will still be available on Saturday.

Bluegrass Championship Wrestling (BCW) will take the mat at 4 p.m. with special guest, legend “Leaping” Lanny Poffo.

Country music artist Melissa Lee will also entertain those in attendance on Saturday night.

Legendary country music group Confederate Railroad, one of the most popular music acts to visit Floyd County, will headline Saturday night’s entertainment.
