KSP/CVE investigates single-vehicle collision in Harold

HAROLD – The Kentucky State Police/Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Region 6 Pikeville was notified of a single commercial vehicle collision north of the US23 and KY979 intersection in Harold on Wednesday. A preliminary investigation indicates that Gary D. Keathley was operating a commercial vehicle when he attempted to turn left onto US 23 from KY 979. As the vehicle was turning left it overturned, coming to final rest on Northbound shoulder of US23. Keathley suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment at the scene of the accident.

The collision remains under investigation. Kentucky State Police Officer Joey Calhoun received assistance from fellow KSP Officer Darvin Marsillett, the Floyd County Sheriffs Department and the Betsy Layne Fire Department.
