PRESTONSBURG – Floyd County Schools Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb has announced that the Student Transportation Association of Kentucky (STAK) has named Floyd County Schools Transportation Department as the Most Improved Transportation Department in the state.

“The board team and I want to congratulate our transportation team and Joe Marson, transportation director, on receiving this award,” said Webb. “The criteria is comprehensive in that it involves record keeping, trainings, maintenance of vehicles and the financial side as well.”

The Floyd County Schools Transportation Department was recognized at the STAK conference in Louisville on June 27.

Members of the Floyd County Schools Transportation Department are busy preparing for the start of the 2016-17 school year.
