Investigation lead to 10 arrests

The Prestonsburg Police Department continues to crack down on drug dealers.


PRESTONSBURG – The streets of Floyd County are safer thanks to the hard work of the Prestonsburg Police Department and Kentucky State Police Post 9.

Ten suspected drug dealers were arrested following an investigation of illegal activity. The Prestonsburg Police Department was able to obtained arrest warrants for individuals under investigation after making several buys of cocaine, Hydrocodone, Methamphetamine and Suboxone.

The residents of Floyd County are determined to take back their communities from the drug dealers who prey upon families. Members of the community can communicate with law enforcement about illegal activity going on around them and remain anonymous. Several individuals arrested during Wednesday’s roundup were tracked down thanks to tips called in by members of the community.

The alleged drug dealers were lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
