Music named Director of Information Technology at BSCTC

PRESTONSBURG – Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC), has named Casey Music as director of information technology.

Music has worked as an Information Technology Specialist at BSCTC since 2007.

“I am honored and humbled to have this opportunity,” said Music, who resides in Johnson County. “I’m excited about this opportunity and I look forwarding to serving our employees, our students and the communities we serve.”

Dr. Stephenson said Music has an unwavering commitment the college and has a balance of relevant experience and education to take on this new challenge.

“Casey understands the importance of information technology and its role in delivering a quality education,” said Dr. Stephenson. “I am confident he will take our technology to a whole new level.”

Music was a former standout athlete at Johnson Central High School, where he was inducted in the school’s hall of fame in 2014. He earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Morehead State University in 2006 and a graduate degree in information systems from MSU in 2012.
