MARTIN – The City of Martin has announced the dates and information for its annual Red, White and Blue Days Festival. This year’s Red, White and Blue Days Festival is set for Oct. 19-22.
The Patriotic Beauty Pageant and the Miss Armed Forces Pride Pageant recently released pageant information.
Girls and boys from all areas may participate in Patriotic Beauty Pageant. Dresses need to be of patriotic colors. Either red, white, or blue or combination of these three colors. Boys can wear a suit or tux of their choice. The Patriotic Beauty Pageant for boys and girls begin with the baby miss category 0-11 months and consist of all ages through age 5. The Patriotic Beauty Pageant will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 9. For more information, contact pageant director Imogene Robinson at 606-285-9569.
The Miss Armed Forces Pride Pageant is open to any female ages 5-22. Attire for Miss Armed Forces Pride Pageant is either a red, white, or blue pageant dress or party dress. This pageant will be held on Saturday, October 15 at 5 p.m. For information on this pageant, contact pageant director Mandy Stumbo Allen at 606-377-6157. Both the Patriotic Beauty Pageant and the Miss Armed Forces Pride pageant will be held at the former location of the Piarist School at 94 Academy Drive in Martin. The annual Red, White and Blue Pageant for elected school contestants will be held at this location Oct. 5-7. Anyone interested in the Red, White and Blue Pageant can contact the local directors to register. All contestants may ride in the City Of Martin’s Red, White and Blue Days Festival parade on October 22.
