PAINTSVILLE – Sundy Best will perform a free concert to raise money to aid with the flood relief in Johnson County in the Johnson County High School parking lot on Wednesday.
Sundy Best is made up of Floyd County natives Nick Jamerson and Kris Bentley.
Pike County native Tyler Childers will join Sundy Best for the event.
The show is free to the public. Donations, however, will be accepted at the entrance. All donations will be given to Johnson County flood relief.
Another concert is slated to help provide relief for flood victims. On Thursday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m., Hindman Settlement School will host a concert to benefit Johnson County residents who were affected by recent flooding. The event will feature bluegrass music by Sunrise Ridge and the Tommy Webb Band. Admission is $5 per person and all proceeds will go to the Johnson County Long-Term Recovery Committee. The event will take place in the May Stone Building.
