FCEA adds two seats to board of directors

PRESTONSBURG – The Floyd County Education Association Board of Directors voted in its last meeting to add two new seats. The Floyd County Education Association Board of Directors agreed to add a seat for a retired Floyd County school teacher and a Morehead State University KEA student member.

The current board of directors include Greta Gilbert representing Adams Middle School, Prestonsburg Elementary School and Prestonsburg High School; Susan Greene and Emily Burns representing John M. Stumbo Elementary School, Betsy Layne Elementary School, Betsy Layne High School and Allen Elementary; Bobby Akers representing South Floyd High School, South Floyd Middle School, Osborne Elementary School and McDowell Elementary School; and Tammy Price and Lenville Martin representing Allen Central High School, Allen Central Middle School, Duff Elementary School, May Valley Elementary School, Renaissance Academy and Floyd County Technology Center.

In addition to the two new seats added during the last meeting, two seats remain vacant.

The Floyd County Education Association meets the third Wednesday of every month at 4:30 p.m.
