“Paint ACMS Pink” returned to Allen Central Middle School earlier in the month.

EASTERN – For over 10 years, Allen Central Middle School students have participated in “Paint ACMS Pink” for breast cancer awareness during the month of October. Students design and create bulletin boards during the promotion.

Eighth graders, Jeonna Manns, Haley Cox, Autumn Bailey and Samantha Damron are pictured in front of the eighth grade bulletin board they decorated entitled “Learning for a Cure.” A memorial/survivor table, set up by students, is located in the upstairs foyer at the school.

Teacher Coley Martin had students use technology to design/create flyers to hang in the halls to increase awareness. All donations for the month are given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This is the second community service of the year for ACMS. For more information about ACMS community service opportunities, contact eighth grade teacher Angela Coleman.
