The Belfry Middle school girls got a 50-13 win on the road at Phelps Tuesday night improving their record to 12-1 on the year.

Belfry was led by Lena Hairston with 16 points. Kailee Rash was also in double figures with 11 points. Taylor Maynard followed with 8 points. Defensively belfry was led by Emily Deaton and Hairston with 5 steals. Rash and Lyndsey Miller both had 4 steals. Rash and Deaton also had 3 deflections in the contest.

On the boards the lady pirates were led by Rash and Maynard with 5 rebounds each.

“I’ve been happy with my teams performance the last few games. We have been ready to play and each girl had contributed in a big way,” replied Coach Erik Rash.

The BMS 7th grade also improved to 12-1 on the season with a 29-13 win at Phelps last night. They were led by Taylor Horton with 11 points and 5 steals and Desirae Miller with 8 points and 5 steals. The BMS girls will return to action Monday against Dorton at home.
