The Floyd County Conservation District was recently honored for its outstanding dedication and leadership by being named the top conservation district for the second straight year in Area 8.
The District received the award at the Kentucky Association of Conservation District annual convention held in Louisville July 13-15. The District are divided into 9 areas throughout the state.
“The Floyd County Conservation District would like to thank all the cooperating agencies that help make our programs successful.” a statement released Monday by the conservation district said. “The District would like to express our sincere gratitude to the people of Floyd County for participating in our programs and allowing the District to serve you. The District realizes that the award was won by the people of the county and wish to celebrate this achievement with them. Thanks for all your support and congratulations.”
