CINCINNATI - In its first road trip of the 2013 season on Friday, Aug. 30, the Alice Lloyd College volleyball team traveled north to battle non-conference opponent Cincinnati Christian. The Lady Eagles faced a tough test on the road as host Cincinnati Christian took control of the match and pulled away to prevail 3-0, winning 25-7, 25-11, 25-13.


Alice Lloyd wasn’t without its share of highlights in the short effort. Delaney Pritchard, Jamie Ginter, Hali Adams and Katie McFarland delivered two digs apiece for the Lady Eagles in the loss.


Prestonsburg High School graduate Sadie Slone is in her first season with the Alice Lloyd College volleyball team. Slone is a setter/defensive specialist.


Alice Lloyd competes in the KIAC (Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference).


The Lady Eagles will be back on the court on Friday (Sept. 6), hosting Hiwassee College at 5:30 p.m.
