MSU men’s golf team posts 300 in final round of UC event

HEBRON - The Morehead State University men’s golf team finished the Cincinnati Bearcat Invitational on Monday with a 300 in the final round at the Traditions Golf Club.
Austin Peay (862) won the 16-team tournament, while Marshall (867) finished second, Cincinnati (871) third and Tennessee Tech (876) fourth. The Eagles (910) placed 15th.
Sophomore Logan Hogge paced Morehead State with a three-round score of 225. He closed out the second round with a 75 and registered a 77 in the final round.
Sophomore Will Branham (229), freshman Ryan Daniels (229), junior Jared Stacy (236), and freshman Michael Vick (240) also competed for the Eagles. Branham is a Pikeville High School graduate.
Marshall senior Brian Anania, who carded a 210, claimed medalist honors among the 80 individuals. The course played at a par of 72 and yardage of 6,728.
The Eagles will finish their fall schedule Oct. 14-15 when they travel to the Austin Peay Intercollegiate in Hopkinsville. The 54-hole event will be played at The Links at Novadell.
