ALLEN - The Kinzer Motorsports team roared into Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City on October 11-12 for the 23rd edition of the ‘Fall Classic.’ Veteran dirt Late Model driver Brandon Kinzer piloted his car to a pair of Top 10 finishes at the Kentucky track.
The Ponderosa Speedway-hosted doubleheader opened up on Friday night with the annual running of the ‘Ironman Classic,’ which boasted a $2,000 winner’s check. Brandon Kinzer ran third in heat race action and later started the 30-lap main event from the outside of the sixth row. Kinzer then picked off three competitors during the unsanctioned race on his way to a solid ninth place finish.
On Saturday evening, the unsanctioned ‘Fall Classic’ was held at Ponderosa and the strong field of competitors had their eyes fixated on the $5,000 top prize. Kinzer once again finished third in his heat race, which placed him starting from the outside of the fifth row in the 50-lapper. The Allen, Kentucky ace sported a fast racecar throughout the race and was able to pass four racecars en route to a sixth place effort. Kinzer crossed underneath the checkers on Saturday behind only winner Dustin Linville, Brad Neat, Greg Johnson, David Webb and Victor Lee.
