COLUMBIA - Georgetown (Ky.) leads a trio of Mid-South Conference teams ranked in this week’s NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Tuesday.


Campbellsville (Ky.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) also enjoy a national ranking in this week’s poll while Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is just outside the top 25 but receiving votes from the national raters.


Georgetown (10-3) climbed one spot this week to No. 7 after winning a pair of games last week, including winning 86-79 at then-No. 5-ranked Campbellsville.


Georgetown - winners of three straight - received 203 voting points from the raters.


Following the loss to Georgetown, Campbellsville (14-2) rebounded to beat Cumberlands at home on Saturday. With last week’s results, the Tigers slipped to No. 8 with 194 voting points.


Cumberlands added a win at St. Catharine (Ky.) last week to earn split on the week. The Patriots (8-6) fell one spot to No. 22 with 85 voting points.


Lindsey Wilson (14-4) garnered 42 voting points after a pair of wins last week.


Vanguard (Calif.) (11-0) is No. 1 with 250 voting points and nine of the 10 first-place votes. Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) (14-0) is No. 2 with 242 voting points and the final first-place vote.


A panel of coaches representing the conferences and unaffiliated groups serves at the national raters.


The next poll is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
