Lexington to host next three Kentucky-Indiana All-Star games

LEXINGTON - The Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Classic now has a new home in Lexington. The Bluegrass Sports Commission and the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation on Wednesday announced a three-year contract for the Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Classic to be played in Lexington, which has previously hosted the series.
Each year, the top boys and girls high school basketball players from Kentucky and Indiana meet in the series.
Transylvania University’s Beck Center will host this year’s game on June 13. CW-WKYT in Lexington and WYMT in Hazard will televise the game.
Lexington is set to host the series for only the sixth time and the first time since 1996.
Additional details concerning the game in Lexington, including ticket information, will be released at a later date.
Joe B. Hall Prep Classic rescheduled: After being postponed due to bad weather over the weekend, the 24th annual Joe B. Hall Prep Classic has been rescheduled for Feb. 9 at Montgomery County High School.
Prep Classic director Ira Combs has confirmed the schedule for the 24th annual Joe B. Hall Prep Classic being Fleming County vs. Knott County Central, 1 p.m.; Hopkinsville vs. Perry County Central, 2:30; Montgomery County vs. Wayne County, 4; Henry Clay vs. Southwestern, 5:30.
Due to scheduling conflicts, Holmes and Trinity won’t be able to play in the 24th annual Joe B. Hall Prep Classic.
