Pikeville (3-2) slipped the script in game two, taking an early 3-0 lead in the first inning instead of waiting around to provide some offense. The Bears added two more runs in the top of the fifth which ended up being crucial as the Bulldogs (0-3) got to Sutherland for four runs in the frame.
Right fielder Connor Osborne paced UPIKE going 2-for-2 at the plate with a run scored and stolen base while also drawing a walk. Shortstop Chaz Contreras added two RBIs on one hit for UPIKE.
