MARTIN - The Piarist School halted a 12-game losing skid on Thursday night, toppling familiar foe Riverside Christian 94-55.
Two Piarist players scored 30-plus points. Tyler Stumbo led Piarist with a game-high 36 points. Accompanying Stumbo in double figures, Michael Williams scored 34 points for the Knights.
Stumbo and Williams claimed eight rebounds apiece for Piarist in the convincing win.
Piarist controlled the glass, grabbing 70 total rebounds.
Galvin Greene dominated inside, claiming 35 total rebounds. Greene narrowly missed a double-double, scoring nine points in the victory.
Bryce Marshall scored seven points, Jacob Ison and Skylar Williams netted three apiece and Brett Bentley tossed in two for the Knights.
The Knights shot 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from the foul line.
Phelps 72, Piarist School 54: Piarist fell short on the road on Friday night, falling to Phelps. Host Phelps pulled away to defeat Piarist 72-54.
With the loss, Piarist dropped to 2-15.
Tyler Stumbo led Piarist with 26 points. Michael Williams scored 16 points and Galvin Greene netted 13 for the Knights.
Greene remained on a tear inside, securing a game-high 30 rebounds. Both Greene and Williams registered a double-double. Williams pulled down 13 rebounds.
Cody Slone did not score but pulled down 10 rebounds for the Knights.
Jacob Ison rounded out the Piarist scoring, finishing with three points.
Piarist claimed 60 total rebounds.
