SITKA - Historic 201 Speedway will host the 3rd Annual Walter ‘Peg’ Combs Memorial on Saturday. The race will pay $3,000-to-win.


Regular racing will be held in all other classes at the Johnson County track, which hosted the World of Outlaws Late Model Series in May.


Gates will open at 3 p.m. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 6:30 with hot laps following at 7.


Children ages 10 and under will be admitted free. Admission is $35 for the pits and $18 for the grandstands.


The payout for the Late Model event will be as follows: 1 - $ 3,000; 2 - $1,500; 3 - $1,000; 4 - $800; 5 - $600; 6 - $500; 7 - $450; 8 - $400; 9 - $300; 10-20 - $250 to start.
