Dear Editor,

I believe the baseball coaches at Allen Central owe fans, parents and grandparents an explanation for some decisions made during the senior night baseball game.

Why did they choose to put an eighth grade pupil in the game while denying playing time to seniors? That doesn’t make sense. Parents and fans thought senior night was for seniors.

I know for a fact that guest from Tennessee and Missouri attended the game for the purpose of watching seniors who were their relatives.

Austin Lawson, a senior team member, has played well this season except for time lost from an injury. He got to bat one time at the senior night game.

I am among those who would like to hear an explanation for why these coaching decisions were made.

Sincerely,

Greg (Pap-Paw) Lawson
