PIPPA PASSES — The “Save Us Now” tour, featuring popular Christian rock bands Fireflight and Disciple, along with special guest Bellarive, will roll into Pippa Passes on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
Alice Lloyd College is the only scheduled stop for the tour in the state. The one-night event, co-hosted by Alice Lloyd’s Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) and the First Baptist Church of Hindman (Hindman Student Ministries), will provide high-energy Christian music to all in attendance.
“We are one of only 20 locations in the U.S. and Canada to be given the chance to host this tour,” says BCM’s Director Matt Stewart. “That says so much about how the booking agent felt about his past dealings with the BCM and thought it was positive enough to offer us this opportunity.”
Throughout his time as BCM Director, Matt Stewart has regularly sought to bring Christian entertainment, fun events, and community service projects to Pippa Passes. This time, working closely with First Baptist’s Steven Bell, Stewart was able to schedule an event that is sure to inspire hundreds of students and young people throughout the area.
ALC is the only place to catch this event in the College’s 108-county service area. The concert will be headlined by nationally-recognized and multiple GMA Dove Award-nominee Disciple and the Grammy Award-nominated, female-fronted rock act Fireflight. Bellarive, a fairly new, contemporary worship band, will guest.
In addition, representatives from World Vision (a Christian humanitarian organization) will be set up on campus to help those who wish to become an active partner with World Vision by sponsoring a child overseas.
This is an event not to be missed! Come on out to Alice Lloyd’s Estelle Campbell Center for the Arts on Tuesday, February 12th, at 7 PM for what is sure to be a memorable night of Christian entertainment. Tickets bought in advance by ALC students are $5. Advance tickets for the community are $10, and all tickets bought at the door will be $12. To purchase tickets call (606) 831-2860.
