PIPPA PASSES - The Alice Lloyd College volleyball team played its first home game of the season on Saturday against visiting Midway College. Both teams were looking for their first win of the season. The visitors played hard, defeating Alice Lloyd 3-0 (11-25, 13-25, 8-25).

Alice Lloyd was without Haley Boggs, its starting setter. Boggs missed the home match due to a shoulder injury.

The Alice Lloyd College volleyball program is in its infancy.

The Alice Lloyd volleyball team will be back on the court on October 25 when it hosts Bluefield College at home. There will be a junior varsity match at 5 p.m. followed by a varsity contest at 7.
