Alma Castle, 90, of Hueysville, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Prestonsburg Healthcare.

She was born Feb. 20, 1922, to the late Jimmy and Siddie Reed Hughes. She was the wife of the late Tobe Castle. Alma was a homemaker and attended the Old Regular Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Toby Ann Riddle; her brothers and sisters, Arnold Hughes, James Vernon Hughes, Curtis Hughes, Exie Hicks, Cora Smith and Bonnie Jean Zabo; a granddaughter, Miranda; and two great grandsons, Connor and Matthew.

She is survived by her son, Anthony “Harpo” Castle (Maria), of Martin, and Banner Castle (Joan), of Chapman; brother, Douglas Hughes, of Climax, Mich.; grandchildren, Robin, Vanessa, Anthony, April, Whitley, Virginia, Kim, Matthew, Joanie and Todd; and great grandchildren, Chris, Zach, Alley, Nick, Cameron, Ethan, Elizabeth, Tyler, Nathan, Victoria, Logan, Breanna, Blake, Devon, McKenna, Dominic, Jasmine, Kaleb, Mia, Hailey, Kinslee, Ethan, Addison and Aiden.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 3, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Jerry Manns officiating. Burial followed the service at Hughes-Castle Cemetery, at Hueysville.
