She was born Dec. 5, 1919, the daughter of the late William P. and Sarah Scalf Cook. She was a retired nurse aide for Pikeville Medical Center and a member of Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara Alice Holbrook, of Ft. Myers, Fla.; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Celia was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Buford Hall, seven brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services for Celia Ann Cook Hall will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Tracy Patton officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel, with Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
