PIKEVILLE – One of the top bowlers in the state of Florida has signed to compete at the University of Pikeville.

Felecia Proctor, a native of Titusville, has signed a scholarship agreement to continue her education and athletics career at UPIKE.

Proctor carries a 190 average for Titusville High School, which has just started a bowling team. As an individual, she competed in the district last season and bowled a career-best 716 to win top honors. She also has the high average at her home house, River Lanes, in the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Youth Leagues.

In the Florida state championships, Proctor, who has a high score of 287, finished seventh.

Proctor, who has been bowling for 11 years, plans to major in education and wants to be an elementary school teacher and a USBC coach.
