Francis Tackett, 82, of Hi Hat, died March 17, 2011, at her home.

Born March 6, 1929, at Lookout, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Flora Moore Rackney and the wife of the late Arthur Tackett. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Baptist Church of Hi Hat.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons: Allan Tackett and Wallace Tackett; one brother: Jessie Patrick Rackey; and two sisters: Floretta Lobe and Mary Alderige.

She is survived by her children: James D. Tackett, Orville Dean Tackett, Willis Tackett, Timothy Ellis Tackett, Janette Johnson and Gloria Gayheart, all of Hi Hat, Kentucky; one brother: Johnny Rackey; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 20, 2011, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin with various United Baptist ministers officiating.

Burial followed at Newman Cemetery at Hi Hat, Kentucky.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home were in charge of funeral arrangements.
