BLAINE — A Lawrence County man is facing charges of possession and distribution of child pornography, following his indictment and arrest Monday.
Officers with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Thomas Meade, 51, of Blaine, on Monday, and lodged him in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, in Paintsville. He was later released, after posting bond.
A Lawrence County grand jury indicted Meade on four counts of possession of child pornography and one county of distribution, following an undercover investigation initiated in January 2009 by Attorney General Jack Conway’s Cybercrimes Unit.
At the time of his arrest, search warrants were also executed at his residence by Kentucky State Police.
Meade is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 2, in Lawrence Circuit Court.
