Lonzie Dean Tackett Jr., 44, of Wheelwright, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

He was born August 10, 1967, to Lonzie Tackett and Nadine Vance Tackett, of Wheelwright. He was the husband of Cathy Johnson Tackett and worked as a correctional officer for Otter Creek.

He is survived by his sons, Lonzie Tackett III and William Tracy Tackett; brothers, Randy Lynn Tackett and Marty Lynn (Melissa) Tackett; sister, Carol Deane Tackett; and nieces and nephews, Jake, Austin, Isaiah, Jason, AJ, Destiny and Erica.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Calvary Hope Independent Church in Wheelwright, under the officiating of Ray Grindstaff. Burial followed the service at Johnson Cemetery, at Bevinsville.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
