Ronnie Blevins, 62, of Blue Creek, Ohio, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012.

He was born May 10, 1950, to the late Walker and Gilva Osborne Blevins. He was the husband of Mildred Gayheart Blevins.Ronnie was a disabled coal miner, as well as a member of the UMWA and Old Time Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Earnest Blevins; a sister, Shelby Reynolds; and his father-in-law, Pie Gayheart.

He is survived by a son, Steven Blevins, of Blue Creek, Ohio; a daughter, Tammy Blevins, of McDowell; grandchildren, Gilva, Walker, Amie, Ronnie, Marcus and Michael; and mother-in-law, Ethel Gayheart

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 3, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Denver Meade and others officiating. Burial followed the service in the Blevins Family Cemetery, at Fraziers Creek of McDowell.
