She was born February 16, 1922, in Magoffin County, the daughter of the late Mort Arnett and Bessie Shepherd Arnett. She was a housewife, and believed in the Old Regular Baptist faith.
Survivors include four daughters: Phyllis Wolters (Bill) of Belleville, Michigan, Mary Hamlin (Greg), Rhonda Ousley (Ricky), and Vonda Robinson (Randy), all of David; and a son-in-law, Lanny Hamilton, husband of the late Brenda Hamilton; two brothers: Claude Arnett of Las Vegas, Nevada and Clark Arnett of Florence, California; three sisters: Charity Wireman of Salyersville, Bonnie Davis of David, and Grace Wireman of Chelesa, Michigan, five grandchildren, one step-grandson, and three great-grandsons.
Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, three brothers: Junior Arnett, Clyde Arnett and Clay Arnett; and two sisters: Minnie Hackworth and Maggie Dotson.
Funeral services for Sarah Arnett Davis were conducted Tuesday, October 24, at 1 p.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Clergyman Larry Adams officiating.
Burial was in the Arnett Family Cemetery, Howard Branch, in Salyersville, under the professional care of Hall Funeral Home.
Visitation was at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Kyle Ousley, Shawn Hamilton, Dustin Robinson, Wesley Robinson, Larry Hackworth, Tim Wireman, Greg Davis, and Randy Davis.
Honorary: Zach Hamilton, Dawson Hamilton, Braydon Hamilton, Brook Hamilton and Mason Jervis.
