STANTON -- Floyd County Sheriff John K Blackburn found himself on the other side of law enforcement Sunday night, after he was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence in Powell County.
According to jail records, Blackburn, 62, of Prestonsburg, who currently serves as president of the Kentucky Sheriff's Association, was booked in the Powell County Detention Center on a DUI charge at 9:28 p.m., Sunday. He was arrested by a deputy with the Powell County Sheriff's Office.
Blackburn was still listed as an inmate at 8:30 a.m., Monday. By 9 a.m., he was no longer listed in the jail system, indicating he may have been released.
