Staff Report

PRESTONSBURG – The rain rolled in as a group of elders from Prestonsburg HealthCare arrived in Winchester. They had travelled to Winchester to compete in the annual Signature Senior Olympics.

Games, food and prizes awaited the Prestonsburg competitors as they anxiously prepared for competition. With events ranging from Frisbee Throws to American Trivia, the Prestonsburg residents were put to the test both physically and mentally. All of the activities highlighted a Signature Elder Vacation, varying from a Disney World trip, the beach, a Nashville vacation, and a trip to Boston. This year, the group from Prestonsburg has chosen to go to Boston. During their time in Boston they will see a Red Sox game and tour the historic downtown area and participate in a variety of other activities.
