UPIKE senior Will Boyd won the individual title with the only score below par in the field of 143 (68-75).

Boyd won his fourth tournament in the last two seasons. He was an All Mid-South Conference performer last season and picked up right where he left off with a win in the 2015 opener.

Thomas More’s Jimmy Kelley fired a two-over par 146 (74-72) to finish second overall.

Boyd posted the lowest round of the tournament by four strokes with his first-round 68.

In just eight tournament’s played last season, Boyd won three titles and added three runner-up finishes.

UPIKE placed three on the all-tournament team, including Boyd, Burgess Clark (149) and newcomer Saulomon Lanigan (154).

Freshman Zac Mullins had a strong showing in his first collegiate tournament with a score of 157 (81-76).

Pikeville is scheduled to compete in the Georgetown College Fall Classic Sept. 21-22 at Cherry Blossom Golf & Country Club, Georgetown.
