ALLEN – Brandon Kinzer and his No. 18 raceteam ventured to western Kentucky from August 27-29 to compete in a trio of special events at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah and Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City.

The weekend for the Kinzer contingent kicked off on Thursday at PIR with the $5,000 to win ‘USA World 50,’ which was sanctioned by the MARS DIRTcar Series. Kinzer ran sixth in his heat race, which lined him up starting the 50-lap headliner from the inside of the ninth row. The Allen ace then had a solid run going in the feature until suffering a flat tire with about 15 laps remaining. The flat tire relegated him to an eleventh place performance in the attrition-filled race.

At KLMS over the weekend, the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) presided over a pair of shootouts. On Friday night, Kinzer clicked off the third fastest lap in his group during time trials prior to moving up to fourth in the $4,000 to win main event to finish behind only winner Billy Moyer, Jr., Ashley Newman, and Riley Hickman. In the weekend finale on Saturday evening, which boasted a $5,000 payday, Kinzer qualified ninth quickest in his group, but was an early retiree in the main event and settled for a 24th place effort.
