ALLEN – Kinzer Motorsports and driver Brandon Kinzer made their way to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio Thursday-Saturday for the 21st edition of the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream. The crown jewel extravaganza once again kicked off with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs. On Thursday night at Eldora Speedway, Kinzer placed seventh in his heat race and sixth in his B-Main, which narrowly kept him out of the $2,500-to-win main event. At Rossburg, Ohio track on Friday evening, Kinzer won his stacked heat race, which put him on the pole for the $5,000-to-win feature. Kinzer ran towards the front early in the 25-lap sprint before eventually winding up 20th in the final rundown.
When Saturday rolled around at Eldora Speedway, all eyes were fixated on the Dirt Late Model Dream and its $100,000 top prize. The Allen driver finished 10th in a heat race prior to running 12th in his B-Main. However, Kinzer was unable to make the start in the 100-lap feature race, which Jonathan Davenport won. Drivers finishing behind Davenport in the feature race were Earl Pearson Jr., Dennis Erb Jr., Dale McDowell, Shane Clanton, Josh Rice, Jared Landers, Don O’Neal, Jimmy Owens, Chad Simpson, Darrell Lanigan, John Blankenship, Randy Weaver, Shannon Babb; Brandon Sheppard, Gregg Satterlee, Kent Robinson, Matt Westfall, Brandon Overton, Garrett Alberson, Chris Ferguson, Tim McCreadie, Steve Casebolt, Mike Marlar, Scott James, Jimmy Mars, Devin Moran, Scott Bloomquist.
