PRESTONSBURG – Quarterback Bailey Slone and running back Dalton Frasure are each nearing 1,000-yard marks for the Prestonsburg Blackcats.

Slone is on pace to pass for 1,000 yards during the regular-season. Through six games, Slone has completed 48-of-85 passes for 808 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions.

Leading the Blackcats on the ground, Frasure has rushed 135 times for 772 yards and eight touchdowns.

Slone has hooked up with Frasure, Wesley Hager, Steven Little and Chandler Nelson on touchdown passes. In addition to his over 700 rushing yards, Frasure has hauled in nine receptions for 191 yards and a team-high four touchdowns.

Hager, a transfer from Sheldon Clark, leads Prestonsburg in receiving. He has hauled in 18 catches for a team-best 286 yards and two touchdowns.

Little, who rushed for three touchdowns in Prestonsburg’s shutout win over East Ridge earlier in the month, boasts 261 yards and one scoring reception via 19 carries.

Frasure leads Prestonsburg in scoring with a 10.7 points per game average.

Defensively, Drake Nunnery has posted three interceptions for the Blackcats.

Paul Stanley leads the Prestonsburg defense with a team-high 73 tackles.

Numerous Prestonsburg players continue to start on both sides of the football. Other leading tacklers for the Blackcats include Frasure (53 tackles), Dylan Kidd (51 tackles), Little (45 tackles) and Jordan Ray (45 tackles).

Prestonsburg (3-3) will host undefeated Leslie County (6-0) on Friday night. Kickoff for the Prestonsburg-Leslie County football game is set for 7:30 at Josh Francis Field/Blackcat Stadium.
