PRESTONSBURG – The Adams Middle School boys’ basketball program will host Blackcat Madness beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Doug Hopkins is set to guide the AMS boys’ basketball team in his first season as head coach.

“We are wanting to start the season out with a bang and excitement this year,” Hopkins said. “We are having our Blackcat Madness starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday. We will have a DJ and concession stand open for the evening. During the event, we will be having a couple of contests for the fans to get involved in as well.”

The event will afford fans an opportunity to meet numerous Adams Middle School student-athletes, coaches, administrators and faculty members.

“We will be introducing all of our boys’ basketball team, along with our cheerleaders, Dance Cats and girls’ basketball players, who just finished up their season,” Hopkins noted. “The boys will have an intra-squad scrimmage with some shooting contests for them to compete against each other. This will be a lot of fun and we are hoping to get our community and fans involved in what we hope will be a promising season. So, if you have nothing to do on Saturday evening, come out and support these kids and get a look at our 2015-2016 team, which we promise will be exciting.”
