Eight from UPIKE football team named Academic All-MSC

Eight members of the University of Pikeville football team have been named Academic All-MSC.


PIKEVILLE – Eight University of Pikeville football student-athletes earned Academic All Mid-South Conference honors, league officials announced on Tuesday.

A total of 130 MSC football student-athletes earned the honor. In order to be nominated by an institution, players must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved at least sophomore academic status.

The Bears’ honorees include Chad Conway, Jack Hopkins, Camron Parsley, Austin Pray, Matthew Robinson, Collie Taylor, Russell Gordon and Cornelius Jackson.

For Robinson, this is his third straight academic award, while Conway picks up his second.
