Prestonsburg Little League to hold election

PRESTONSBURG – Prestonsburg Little League will hold its annual election for the upcoming season at 6 p.m. in the press box at the Prestonsburg High School baseball and softball fields at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29.

Currently, Prestonsburg Little League has 11 positions available for nomination. The open positions are President, Vice-President, Player Agent, Secretary, Treasurer, Safety Director, Information Officer, Equipment Manager, Umpire Coordinator and Concession Manager.

All current league members are eligible to vote during the election. League members are described as any person actively involved in the operation of the current league season (spring 2015), including current board members, coaches, assistant coaches, umpires and concession volunteers.

Annually, Little League teams take the field in more than 80 countries worldwide with 2.4 million-plus children participating each year. Little League features early 1.5 million adult volunteers.
