PIPPA PASSES _ Tyler Rogers, a senior from Lexington, has been named the Alice Lloyd College Male Athlete of the Week. Rogers was dominant over a week-long stretch as he led the Eagles to two impressive conference wins.
At home on Wednesday in an 82-66 win over Asbury, Rogers flirted with a triple double. He finished with 28 points (12-of-16 from the field), 10 rebounds and eight blocks, all of which were game-highs. Rogers dished off a game-high four assists as well.
In the KIAC Game of the Week, an 88-75 victory on the road Saturday at Brescia, Rogers scored a game-high 28 points (13-of-19 from the field) and added eight rebounds three assists.
For the week, Rogers shot 25-of-35 from the field (71.4 percent), 2-of-3 from the 3-point range (66.6 percent) and 4-of-5 from the free throw line (80 percent). In addition to his points, Rogers added 18 rebounds (9 rpg), 8 blocks (4 bpg), and 7 assists (3.5apg).
