MARTIN – The Allen Central Rebels remained in the win column over the weekend, defeating the host Piarist School Knights 75-31 on Saturday.
Allen Central improved to 8-9 with the win.
With the loss, winless Piarist dropped to 0-12.
Leading Allen Central to the non-district win, Seth Hall scored a game-high 18 points.
A dozen different Allen Central scored in the win. Joining Hall in double figures, Cameron Blevins netted 11 points for the Rebels.
Allen Central jumped out in front early, outscoring Piarist 25-3 in the first quarter. The Rebels led 52-13 at halftime and took a commanding 66-22 lead out of the third quarter.
Chris Brown scored eight points and Bret Samons added seven as Allen Central pulled away to win easily.
Other scorers for the Rebels were Zack Layton (six points), Cameron Nelson (five points), Bailey Wright (five points), Dylan Caudill (four points), Kolby Slone (four points), Kevin Chaffins (three points), Sam Conley (two points) and Chase Caudill (two points)
Sylar Williams led Piarist with a double-double. Williams scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Knights in the setback.
Following Williams in the Piarist scoring column, Riley Howard and Logan Sparks added six points apiece.
Rounding out the Piarist scoring, Brennan Mullins netted two points.
Allen Central defeated Piarist for the second time in the 2015-16 season.
